Primus Friday broke a five-year studio silence with the new three-song EP, Conspiranoid. Available now on streaming platforms, the release is rooted in the 11-minute epic, “Conspiranoia.”
Prior to the release of the EP, bassist/vocalist The Claypools explained that Conspiranoid largely served as the delivery mechanism for “Conspiranoia”. Rather than release a single, Primus produced a pair of B-sides to accompany the “long, meandering, bastard of a song”, as Claypool called it. “Follow The Fool” and “Erin On The Side Of Caution” fill out the flip side and pick up modern themes from “Conspiranoia” about the age of misinformation.

That way we can actually play these things live and we’re not burying people with all this music they don’t know. With the exception of a song that’s literally 13 minutes long, so go to the bathroom before you start that one.
