ALL programs this week | News, Sports, Jobs

ALPENA – The Alpena Community College Lifelong Learners Association will be hosting several programs this week.

Two special programs are planned, in addition to the regular weekly activities.

If you have questions about ANY programs, please call the office at 989-358-7207.

Tuesday at 2 p.m., join ALL for a musical journey through South Louisiana, in person at Turning Brook, 300 Oxbow Drive in Alpena, and via Zoom.

Enjoy a musical journey through southern Louisiana and learn about its musical influence on the rest of the world. Try Swamp Pop and Mardi Gras. Enjoy the culture and history of the Cajun and Zydeco groups.

Presenters Don and Evelyn Londo spent three springs in southern Louisiana learning about the region’s culture and music. Their journey has included dance halls, auditoriums, jam sessions and Buck and Johnnies, Zydeco Breakfast. Join them and enjoy the “Joy of Life” of Cajun Land.

Then at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, enjoy the fresh faces of spring, in person at ACC’s Mr. Briggs Center and via Zoom.

With the help of Mary Kay Cosmetics, we’ll be doing looks with complimentary cheek color and lipstick. Maybe also give you a color code with a perfect foundation for a perfect look for spring?

Sherryl Kelly is an independent beauty consultant at Mary Kay, and she can’t wait to show you a great Mother’s Day look.
