The Levitt Pavilion at MacArthur Park will celebrate 15 years of free live music with a varied lineup

Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles (Levitt LA) is thrilled to announce its 15th summer show season at MacArthur Park which continues to reflect Los Angeles’ cultural mosaic with exceptional programming while enjoying an iconic LA outdoor setting.

2022’s electrifying lineup features international big names as well as LA superstar talent performing a wide variety of genres including cumbia, rock, soul, ska, salsa, electronic dance music, hip -hop, folk music from Mexico, Central and South America, and Suite. The Levitt LA concerts will once again transform MacArthur Park into a sound-laden urban oasis with free live music under the stars.

Levitt LA is pleased to announce that the concerts will be streamed live and available after the season on YouTube, expanding the accessibility of free, high-quality concerts for everyone.

“We’re coming back stronger than ever this summer,” says Matthew Himes, Levitt LA’s Director of Programming and Production, “with over 150 performances, 50 genres, and plenty of surprises, there’s something for everyone. We can’t wait to see everyone dancing, laughing and enjoying the amazing music under the stars with all their friends and families and building new relationships with each other.”

To kick off the season, Levitt LA is teaming up with LACMA’s Latin Sounds and La Banda Elástica to co-present the concert series’ opening night on June 18, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. featuring El Gran Silencio, Buyepongo, Las Chikas , and the DJs of La Banda Elástica.

This season will also feature the oldie soul sounds of Joe Bataan, the Mexican sonidero sounds of Grupo Soñador, the neo-Perreo beats of Andrekza, dancing the night away with LA’s hottest DJs at a festival celebrating culture Filipino and beyond!!

With a long-established trust, Levitt LA partners with local heritage groups and music collectives who often serve as carriers of culture to celebrate the distinct communities that make LA so unique. Sunday concerts feature exciting new and traditional music for an immersive cross-cultural experience with food, dance and more! Additionally, Levitt LA is proud to join the WE RISE initiative for Mental Health Awareness Month. Finally, join Levitt LA for our 15th Anniversary Season Announcement Party on Sunday, May 8 (2-8pm) in conjunction with the monthly Biscuits and Jams DJ Party at Thunderbolt Café in historic Filipinotown. Sets from DJ Phatrick, DJ Bonds, Matthew Himes and KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic’s Novena Carmél and Anthony Valadez and food, libations and a photo booth will be available.
